The Molycorp Jiangyin facility, or JAMR, is a rare earth processing plant, located approximately 150 kilometers from Shanghai, in the city of Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province, China.
The plant consists of 25 buildings on approximately 20 acres.
JAMR refines ion adsorption clay concentrates to produce a range of heavy rare earth products which are sold to customers in high-tech industries in international and Chinese markets, which manufacture products such as permanent magnets, electronic components, display phosphors and optical glass.
