MQP-A-10179-070 was the first powder grade commercialized by Magnequench. It is now typically used only in applications which require cost effective high coercivity. It is an isotropic magnet powder based on a patented Nd-Fe-B alloy that is suitable for the manufacture of bonded magnets. This material is produced by employing a proprietary rapid solidification process followed by a milling process and heat treatment.

MQP-B-20076-070 is yet another lower cost option in our product portfolio. Similar to MQP-B-20052-070, this MQP-B grade also does not use cobalt . However, the magnetic properties of this material have been designed for higher flux (Br) and lower intrinsic coercivity (Hci). MQP-B- 20076-070 can be used in a wide array of products, including hard disc drive spindle motors, power tools and office equipment. This material is produced by employing a proprietary rapid solidification process followed by a milling process and heat treatment.

MQP-B-20052-070 (Former Name: MQP-B3) balances magnetic values combined with superior aging characteristics. It is well suited for almost all applications, but it is especially targeted at applications that benefit from its slightly higher intrinsic coercivity (Hci) levels (~10k0e). MQP-B-20052-070 is a patented isotropic magnet powder suitable for the manufacture of bonded magnets. It is based on the cost optimized cobalt-free Nd-Fe-B composition. This material is produced by employing a proprietary rapid solidification process followed by a milling process and heat treatment.

MQP-B-20029-070 (Former Name: MQP-B2) is an isotropic magnet powder suitable for the manufacture of bonded magnets. It is also based on an Nd-Fe-Co-B alloy composition; however it contains lower cobalt amounts. The alloy is rapidly solidified into a thin metal ribbon and milled into powder. The powder is then heat treated and blended to meet final magnetic specifications.

MQP-12-5-20092-070 is a low-cost powder designed for use in cost-sensitive applications that require magnetic properties in between typical ferrite and isotropic bonded neo magnet properties. Both its energy product and its intrinsic coercivity are lower than any MQP grade powder. This combined with its Nd-Pr-Ce-Fe-B alloy enables MQP-12-5-20092-070 to be especially well-suited for ferrite replacement applications, such as air conditioner louver motors. MQP-12-5-20092-070 is produced by employing a proprietary rapid solidification process followed by a milling process and heat treatment.

MQP-13-9-20063-070 (Former Name: MQP-13-9R2) is a low cost powder with equivalent magnetic performance with other powder grades in the MQP-13-9 series. In addition to spindle motors and other motors, MQP-13- 9-20063-070 is ideal for cost sensitive ferrite replacement applications, such as CPU cooling fans, box fans and other similar applications. It is an isotropic magnet powder suitable for the manufacture of bonded magnets. MQP-13-9-20063-070 is based on a patented RE-Fe-B composition that has been designed to include lower cost rare earth elements such as lanthanum. This material is produced by employing a proprietary rapid solidification process followed by a milling process and heat treatment.

MQP-13-9-10533-070, our first powder designed for lower flux applications, is an isotropic magnet powder suitable for the manufacture of bonded magnets. It is based on a patented Nd-PrFe- B alloy composition. This material is produced by employing a proprietary rapid solidification process followed by a milling process and heat treatment. We also offer other powder grades in the MQP-13-9 series which provide equivalent or improved properties at lower costs.
