Molycorp is committed to improving the lives of people in the communities where our employees live and work. That commitment is being furthered by the Company’s Community Grant Program. Administered by our Employee Contribution Committee (ECC), the Program provides funding, in-kind and volunteer support for organizations throughout Northern New Mexico.

Areas of Focus:
· Youth
· Health and Human Services
· Economic Development

In order to qualify for Molycorp’s Program, your program request must focus on at least one of the three areas mentioned above.

In addition to these areas of focus, Molycorp wants to ensure that its resources are being maximized for sustainable programs that create value for the long-term. Demonstrating sustainability is important for the Grant Application and can include identifying other partners and/or sources of funding, years of operation, and other unique success criteria.

Molycorp’s Grant Program is limited in its ability to fund certain types of programs and/or activities. Molycorp can only provide funding to secular, not-for-profit organizations or programs. Additionally, Molycorp’s financial Grant resources can not be used for construction work or repair projects. Finally, Molycorp’s Grant Program can not be used to sponsor an individual.

Accountability:
By submitting a Grant Application to Molycorp and receiving approval, you are agreeing to provide the Company with an annual update on how Molycorp’s donated resources were utilized by your organization. This report must be sent to Molycorp within 12 months of receipt of the donation. Failure to submit this request in a timely manner may disqualify you from future Grants.

Form Instructions:
You must fill out the Grant Application in its entirety, including the Federal Tax ID # for your organization. Only correctly completed forms will be considered for a Grant. You may submit additional documents outlining your request, including organization brochures, annual reports, and letters of support and program materials.

Please note that each organization may only submit one Grant Application per calendar year.

Evaluation:
Molycorp’s Employee Contribution Committee will meet on a quarterly basis to evaluate the Grant Applications. You can submit your request any time within the year, noting the next review meeting may not be for several months. Molycorp will notify you in writing of either the approval or denial of your Grant Application.

Grant Application Review Schedule and Application Deadlines:
Molycorp’s ECC will meet quarterly to review Grant Applications. In 2006, the ECC will meet on March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1. Therefore, Molycorp requires that your Grant Application be submitted at least 5 business days prior to the meeting date in order to be considered. Otherwise, the Application will carry over to the next scheduled meeting.

You are welcome to contact a Molycorp representative at any time to check on the status of your Application or if you have questions about the Application.
