Phosphorus Removal

In 2010, we launched our line of proprietary rare earth-based water treatment products known as SorbX™. These new products are highly effective at removing unwanted oxyanions, such as phosphates, from water.

SorbX-100™ is commercially available and is being launched into global municipal and industrial wastewater treatment markets.

SorbX-200™ is now sold commercially in the pool, spa, and recreational water maintenance markets. SorbX-200™ is highly effective at reducing phosphate, which is a critical nutrient for algae.

Drinking Water Purification

In potable water applications, the unique chemistry of rare earths is especially effective at removing compounds such as:

• Heavy metals, including arsenic, lead, selenium, chromium and mercury
• Organic toxins, such as pesticides

Molycorp Advanced Water Technologies, LLC, has over 100 patents supporting its water purification technologies. The company is now developing a new product line designed specifically for use in remove phosphorus in municipal and industrial wastewater, and pool and spa applications.
